What do other think about us?
Rhu Primary, P1-3, Jan 2010 (Fabletales)
- The whole session was well thought out and fitted in seamlessly with our own ideas and teaching... A fantastic link to our project. Thanks :)
- The session was beautifully planned and age appropriate. Vicky has a lovely manner with the children... Thank you for a lovely time
- All pupils were engaged and stories were linked very closely to our topic (climate change in Antartica). The letter from "Waddle" is much appreciated and will be great for helping us to celebrate the end of our topic! Thank You!
Parklands Special School, Dec 2009
The activities are very interactive and suitable for the complex needs of the children taking part. The leader is always well prepared and goes beyond the call of duty and has a lovely manner when working with the children and their parents.
Colgrain Primary, Primary 1, Sep 2009 (Fabletales)
Well pitched to the age of the children, loved the interaction with children and the way they were involved throughout the session.
Would definitely recommend this session...

The feedback has been very positive and I would be delighted to work in partnership with Fun First to promote another such event. Your realistic costing strategy would allow me to work with you to develop several of these events or similar events throughout 2009.

Having never been before he didn't want to go this afternoon, however after reluctantly going along, he really enjoyed his time and said he wants to go every week that he can!! That is saying something as he feels that he is too big for most things.
Bookstart, September 2008
What a HUGE amount of work Vicky, Carolyn and the team must have put into Fun First over the past few months. We were blown away by what you had achieved.
Alan Reid MP, August 2008
I was very impressed with the enthusiasm of the managers and play leaders.
Trish, June 2008
Thanks…. After committee meetings I am constantly impressed at how slick an operation it is and how professionally it is ran. You gals have a tremendous energy and spirit and you probably don't realise the positive impact that you have on so many people in Helensburgh. Fun First is a really fantastic institution and this is solely due to the massive efforts that you two especially continually put into it. Before I went to Fun First (when my eldest was 6 months) I knew no -one in town and even less about children's development. It turned out to be the key to me (and the kids) making some amazing friends and really making us fit into our small town community. I doubt that this view ever comes across on your evaluation forms. I don't think that you realise just how many long term friendships are actually forged when people think they are just going to go along to learn a spot of sign language... Thank you both.
Comments from Parental feedback forms about Rhymetime sessions
Anon. May 2008
- The format is immediately engaging for the children, even more so recently.
- Nice informal feel to the sessions, very easy to come into as a new face.
- Absolutely, my child has benefited do much from attending he sings all the time and loves attending even Nursery commented on how he loves singing and knows all the words.
- The use of props really involves the children and keeps them interested.
- I have been to parent led groups, which were good but there is such a difference when led by and activity leader in terms of quality, content and child involvement.
- The leaders are very enthusiastic . They all do an excellent job and they should be commended in a very time consuming job. All very professional.
- I have felt very welcome in the group.
- The enjoyment all the children get while being educated is fantastic.
- Having a specific baby session is excellent
